Symbolic

A simple coat of arms. Each symbol or image represents a different thing. The snakes around the staff are from Greek mythology. It is the staff carried by Hermes, Greek god of medicine. This staff represents health and medicine and can commonly be seen today. The diploma on the right represent education. The scale on the bottom represents liberty and justice. The olive branches represent peace, the torch, light and truth, and the shield and swords represent strength. the snake on the shield refers to the snake drawing with 13 segments, each one representing a different colony from the American Revolution. That snake represented freedom, and so does mine. The two scrolls on top are Latin phrases. E. Pluribus Unum means "From Many One" and can be found on all forms of American currency. The other phrase, Quod Verum Tutum means "All That is True is Safe."
